MULTIPAGE SPREAD - newcomer Resource guide
Background: A non profit organization offering settlement services recognized the need to provide a resource guide for a significant sector of their clientele, newcomer moms, in hopes to provide them with relevant information for a better settlement experience in a new country.
The Design: Kid-centric, playful and colourful themes with visuals of kids and their moms are used throughout the magazine to appeal to this audience. Both lifestyle imagery and illustrated graphics are used to signal that content is relatable, but also can be taken in at ease. The text is structured in shorter, easy-to-read lines and columns and numbered or paragraphed, for more efficient consumption since English is often not the first language of the audience.
