Background: Editorial design rendering for an article from the travel magazine - Enroute
The Design: A play on pattern of gold fishes and fish bowls show continuity of the article on both pages. The use of the colour orange foreshadows that the article is about goldfish and by choosing orange as the title font, readers are able to make this connection. The use of the two different shades of blue really helps make the graphics even more eye catching. Especially, the swirls of the water allows the readers eye to float there for a second to enjoy the fish bowl graphics above and then continue on to the start of the article. The typeface is simple and in white to allow for an easy read as it floats above the subdued calming fish pattern in the background.
